Meet the Movement

Queer people have always been part of cannabis history.

From the LGBTQ+ activists who fought for compassionate access during the HIV/AIDS crisis to the advocates, artists, entrepreneurs and everyday people continuing that work today, our communities helped shape cannabis culture long before legalization became an industry.

Queer In Cannabis exists to make sure those stories aren't forgotten and that our communities have a place in what comes next.

Rooted in queer and Latin culture, QIC brings history, advocacy and a whole lot of community together through education, storytelling, events and experiences.

We're the people behind the Trailblazer series, queer cannabis history programming, community workshops, cultural celebrations, industry events and plenty of reasons to gather IRL. We work with advocates, artists, organizations, cannabis brands and retailers to create programming that actually connects people.

Because for us, visibility isn't just about being seen. It's about showing up.

It's celebrating the people who paved the way. Creating opportunities for the people doing the work now. Giving back to organizations serving our communities. And making cannabis spaces a little more representative of the people who helped build them.

We're proud to be queer. We're proud of our Latin roots. And we're proud to keep building something that brings both communities together through cannabis.
